Deleting the Browser-net.net, check the list of installed software first

To clear the internet browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text like “http://site.address” which has been added here. You need to delete it.

First, open the FF. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Mozilla Firefox menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

In the Help menu click the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page click on “Refresh Firefox” button as shown on the screen below.

Confirm your action, press the “Refresh Firefox”.

Delete Browser-net.net pop-ups from IE

If you find that IE web browser settings like home page, new tab and search engine by default having been replaced by ad-supported software which developed to redirect your internet browser to various ad sites like Browser-net.net, then you may revert back your settings, via the reset internet browser procedure.

First, launch the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then click the “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt. Further, press the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown below.

When the task is complete, click “Close” button. Close the IE and restart your system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web-browser’s home page, newtab page and search provider by default to default state.

Remove Browser-net.net advertisements from Google Chrome

Use the Reset web-browser utility of the Chrome to reset all its settings such as new tab page, homepage and search engine by default to original defaults. This is a very useful utility to use, in the case of internet browser redirects to annoying ad pages like Browser-net.net.

First open the Google Chrome. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Chrome menu button). It will show the main menu. Further, click the option named “Settings”. Another way to show the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter.

The web-browser will show the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, like below and press the “Reset settings” button.

The Google Chrome will open the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The internet browser will launch the process of cleaning. Once it is complete, the internet browser’s settings including start page, newtab page and default search engine back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted Browser-net.net page opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and get rid of all the tasks that have been created by adware.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard together. It will open a dialog box that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown on the image below.

Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the unwanted applications, then this task also should be removed.
