Open Start menu and choose the ‘Control Panel’ at right as shown below.

Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (Windows 7 or Vista) as shown on the screen below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed programs and delete all questionable and unknown apps. We suggest to click ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed programs by date. When you have found anything suspicious that may be the Dark Browse adware or other PUP (potentially unwanted program), then select this application and click ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window. If the suspicious application blocked from removal, then run Revo Uninstaller Freeware to fully remove it from your personal computer.

If the Mozilla Firefox settings like default search engine, new tab and startpage have been modified by the adware software, then resetting it to the default state can help. However, your themes, bookmarks, history, passwords, and web form auto-fill information will not be deleted.

Click the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and click the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu like below.

Follow the onscreen procedure to restore your Mozilla Firefox browser settings to their default values.

Remove Dark Browse from Internet Explorer

In order to recover all web browser newtab, start page and search engine by default you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Microsoft Windows was installed on your PC system.

First, launch the IE, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then click the “Internet Options” as on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will open the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box. Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown on the image below.

After the process is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Microsoft Internet Explorer and reboot your device for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your browser’s search engine by default, newtab page and startpage to default state.

Remove Dark Browse adware from Chrome

Reset Google Chrome will allow you to delete Dark Browse adware from your browser as well as to recover web-browser settings infected by adware software. All unwanted, harmful and ‘ad-supported’ addons will also be removed from the browser. Your saved bookmarks, form auto-fill information and passwords won’t be cleared or changed.

First start the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will open the Google Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then press Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the add-on signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Google Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Google Chrome menu once again. Further, press the option called “Settings”.

The web browser will open the settings screen. Another way to open the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as shown on the screen below and press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The browser will run the procedure of cleaning. When it is complete, the internet browser’s settings including new tab page, search engine by default and homepage back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your computer.
