How to remove Quick Tag from Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge

Remove Quick Tag from Google Chrome
If Google Chrome new tab page, default search engine and startpage were hijacked by Quick Tag then ‘Reset Chrome’ is a method which allows to restore the web-browser to its factory state. To reset Chrome to the original defaults, follow the guide below.
- First start the Chrome and click Menu button (small button in the form of three dots).
- It will open the Google Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then press Extensions.
- You will see the list of installed extensions. If the list has the plugin labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guide: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
- Now open the Google Chrome menu once again, press the “Settings” menu.
- You will see the Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and press “Advanced” link.
- Scroll down again and click the “Reset” button.
- The Chrome will open the reset profile settings page as shown on the image above.
- Next click the “Reset” button.
- Once this process is finished, your browser’s home page, search provider and new tab page will be restored to their original defaults.

Remove Quick Tag hijacker from Mozilla Firefox
If the Mozilla Firefox browser search provider by default, home page and new tab are changed to quicknewtab.com and you want to restore the settings back to their default state, then you should follow the steps below. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed, deleted or cleared.
Run the Mozilla Firefox and click the menu button (it looks like three stacked lines) at the top right of the browser screen. Next, click the question-mark icon at the bottom of the drop-down menu. It will show the slide-out menu.
Select the “Troubleshooting information”. If you are unable to access the Help menu, then type “about:support” in your address bar and press Enter. It bring up the “Troubleshooting Information” page as shown in the figure below.
Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right of the Troubleshooting Information page. Select “Refresh Firefox” in the confirmation dialog box. The Mozilla Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the Quick Tag browser hijacker. After, it’s complete, click the “Finish” button.
Get rid of Quick Tag hijacker from Internet Explorer
If you find that IE internet browser settings such as default search engine, new tab and home page had been hijacked, then you may revert back your settings, via the reset internet browser process.
