Remove Gift-sale.stream pop-ups from Chrome

Remove Gift-sale.stream advertisements from Internet Explorer

If you find that IE web browser settings like homepage, new tab and search provider by default having been replaced by adware that causes a large amount of undesired Gift-sale.stream popups, then you may return your settings, via the reset web browser procedure.

First, open the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web-browser, then click the “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box. Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown in the figure below.

Once the task is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your personal computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web-browser’s newtab page, home page and search engine by default to default state.

Delete unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted Gift-sale.stream site opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks which have been created by malicious software.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard at the same time. This opens a dialog box that titled as Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as on the image below.

Pay attention to that it launches on your personal computer. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then get rid of this harmful task. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it’s a component of the ‘ad-supported’ software, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to remove, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as displayed in the figure below.

Fix infected web browsers shortcuts to remove Gift-sale.stream redirect

Now you need to clean up the web-browser shortcuts. Check that the shortcut referring to the right exe-file of the web-browser, and not on any unknown file.
