Remove OptiBuy pop-up ads from Google Chrome

Like other modern browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby recover the browser’s settings such as start page, new tab page and search engine by default that have been modified by the OptiBuy adware which designed to redirect your browser to various ad sites.

Click on Chrome’s main menu button (chrome_main_menu_button) and select Settings option as shown below.

Get rid of OptiBuy popup advertisements from Safari

Click Safai menu and select Preferences.

It will open the Safari Preferences window. Next, click the Extensions tab. Look for OptiBuy on left panel, select it, then click on the Uninstall button.Most important to remove all unknown extensions from Safari.

Once complete, click General tab. Change the Default Search Engine to Google.
