How to remove Internet Security 2010 (Uninstall instructions)

Myantispyware team December 10, 2009

InternetSecurity2010Internet Security 2010 is a rogue antispyware program, clone of widely spread Advanced Virus Remover, which is also rogue antispyware program. The program distributed with the help of trojans. When Internet Security 2010 is installed, it will configure itself to run automatically when Windows loads.

Once running, Internet Security 2010 will begin to scan your computer and list a variety of infections that will not be fixed unless you first purchase the program. Important to know, all of these infections are fake and do not actually exist on your computer, so you can safely ignore them.

What is more, while Internet Security 2010 is running your computer will display nag screens, warnings and fake security alerts from your Windows taskbar. Some of the alerts:

System warning!
Continue working in unprotected mode is very dangerous.
Viruses can damage your confidential data and work on your
computer. Click here to protect your computer.

System warning!
Intercepting programs that may compromise your privacy and
harm your system have been detected on your PC.
It`s highly recommended you scan your PC right now.

Just like false scan results, all of these warnings are fake and should be ignored! If you find that your computer is infected with this malware, then be quick and take effort to remove it immediately. Use the removal guide below to remove Internet Security 2010 from the system for free.

If you require a Malvarebytes and youre computer browser does not work then try to find a computer that works and use a Flash…I suggest you to delete all the info or store it somewhere else if you have something important…Becouse there is a chance of the virus to get in the flash…

On Christmas Eve, a co-worker’s workstation became infected with this virus on startup. This is the 4th time I have had to battle this. I found this website and this was the easiest fix ever, and it’s free. I would have paid $50 to get rid of the infection this easily! Since the infected workstation could not access the Internet I downloaded the solutions onto a flash drive and ran them from there. Also, once the workstation was cured, I had to delete Internet Security 2010 from the Program Files. It tried to start again on startup and I stopped that with Task Manager under Processes.
I am SO happy I didn’t have to spend the weekend saving the data and formatting and reloading Windows!

internet security 2010 virus attack. McAfee quaritined the trojan but when I had McAfee remonve those quaritned files (3 of them) it made it so that I can not log on to my user account. I think it sabotaged the bootup program. Can I run my drivers/utilities CD that came w/ my computer to have bootup through the CD? Then I can insert the flash drive and run your anti spyware?

Patrick, I cannot get the PC to log in as well. We have tried all types of safe mode as well as Last Known Good Config in hopes of doing a restore. None of these options will log in. It logs off before the personal settings are loaded (XP).

Run regedit from other machine on the same network as the problem PC.

click File > Connect to Another PC

    Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\

In the right pane, you should see

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsaupdater.exe,

Change it so that it reads:

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\userinit.exe

If internet security will not allow you to execute Malwarebytes software, try to manually delete the following files,

    IS2010.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\winlogon86.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\winhelper86.dll
    C:\Windows\System32\winupdate86.exe

If you can’t find the files do a search.
After you delete those files you should be able to run the Anti-Malware program.

Unless you are willing to pay, Spyware Doctor is a waste of time.
