Once the task is done, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and restart your device for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s search provider, new tab and startpage to default state.

Remove Blocksly adware software from Chrome

Blocksly ads or other symptom of having adware in your browser is a good reason to reset Google Chrome. This is an easy way to restore the Chrome settings and not lose any important information.

  1. First, start the Google Chrome and press the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
  2. It will open the Chrome main menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions.
  3. You will see the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following instructions: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, click “Advanced” link, that located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will open the reset settings prompt as shown on the image above.
  8. Confirm the internet browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Remove Blocksly adware from Firefox

Resetting your Mozilla Firefox is basic troubleshooting step for any issues with your web browser program, including unwanted ads and malicious redirects. However, your themes, bookmarks, history, passwords, and web form auto-fill information will not be deleted.

Run the Firefox and click the menu button (it looks like three stacked lines) at the top right of the web-browser screen. Next, press the question-mark icon at the bottom of the drop-down menu. It will show the slide-out menu.

Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right of the Troubleshooting Information page. Select “Refresh Firefox” in the confirmation prompt. The Mozilla Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the Blocksly adware. When, it is finished, click the “Finish” button.
