Cedentwith.com is a deceptive site that shows ‘Show notifications’ pop-up states that clicking ‘Allow’ will let you watch a video, enable Flash Player, connect to the Internet, download a file, access the content of the web page, and so on. Once you click on ALLOW, this web-site gets your permission to send push notifications in form of pop up adverts in the right bottom corner of the desktop.

  • In the top right corner of the browser window, click on the three horizontal stripes to expand the Main menu.
  • Select ‘Options’ and click on ‘Privacy & Security’ on the left hand side of the Firefox.
  • Scroll down to ‘Permissions’ and then to ‘Settings’ next to ‘Notifications’.
  • Select the Cedentwith.com domain from the list and change the status to ‘Block’.
  • Save changes.
  • In the top right corner, click the Edge menu button (it looks like three dots).
  • Scroll down, locate and click ‘Settings’. In the left side select ‘Advanced’.
  • In the ‘Website permissions’ section click ‘Manage permissions’.
