Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter. It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page as on the image below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation prompt. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will start a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the AppliedReview adware software. When, it is complete, click the “Finish” button.

Delete AppliedReview from Safari

By resetting Safari internet browser you restore your browser settings to its default state. This is first when troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by AppliedReview .

Run Safari web browser. Next, select Preferences from the Safari menu.

First, click the “Security” icon. Here, select “Block pop-up windows”. It will block some types of popups.

Now, click the “Extensions” icon. Look for dubious plugins on left panel, choose it, then press the “Uninstall” button. Most important to remove all suspicious extensions from Safari.

Once complete, check your start page and search engine settings. Click “General” tab. Make sure that the “Homepage” field contains the website you want or is empty.

Remove AppliedReview adware software from Chrome

If your Google Chrome internet browser is affected by AppliedReview, it may be necessary to completely reset your web-browser program to its default settings.

First run the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will open the Google Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. If the list has the addon signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Chrome menu once again. Further, click the option named “Settings”.

The web-browser will show the settings screen. Another way to display the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as shown on the image below and press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The internet browser will start the process of cleaning. Once it’s finished, the internet browser’s settings including home page, search provider by default and new tab page back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your MAC system.
