How to remove allwegood.info pop-ups [Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge]

Uninstall suspicious and unknown applications by using Windows Control Panel

First, you should try to identify and delete the program that causes the appearance of unwanted advertisements and web browser redirect to unwanted web pages, using the ‘Uninstall a program’ which is located in the ‘Control panel’.

Very carefully look around the entire list of installed programs. Most likely, one or more of them are responsible for the web-browser redirect to annoying allwegood.info pop-up ads. If you have many programs installed, you can help simplify the search of malicious software by sort the list by date of installation. Once you have found a suspicious, unwanted or unused program, right click to it and press ‘Uninstall’.

First, click ‘Start’ button and select ‘Control Panel’ at right panel as shown on the screen below.

You will see a list of software installed on your personal computer. We recommend to sort the list by date of installation to quickly find the programs that were installed last. Most likely they responsibility for the appearance of annoying advertisements and web browser redirect. If you are in doubt, you can always check the program by doing a search for her name in Google, Yahoo or Bing. When the program, you need to uninstall, is found, simply click on its name, and then press ‘Uninstall’ as shown on the screen below.

Remove allwegood.info redirect from Chrome

Like other modern internet browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby get rid of the redirect to allwegood.info annoying advertisements that is caused by the ad supported software.

At first, start the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the browser adress bar and press Enter.

The web-browser will open the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown on the image below and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will open the confirmation prompt. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The application will start the task of cleaning. When it’s finished, the browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Remove allwegood.info pop-up ads from Firefox

If the Mozilla Firefox settings have been modified by the ad-supported software, then resetting it to the default state can help you to remove the reroute onto allwegood.info page.

First, start the Mozilla Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web browser. Next, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as shown on the image below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the web-browser address bar and press Enter. It will show the “Troubleshooting Information” page like below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, press the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will show the confirmation prompt, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the ‘ad supported’ software. Once it is finished, click the “Finish” button

Delete allwegood.info from Internet Explorer

To remove the allwegood.info ads you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your computer.

First, launch the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the drop-down menu on the right part of the internet browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt as on the image below. Next, press the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, click the “Reset” button.

When the procedure is finished, press “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your PC system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to remove allwegood.info redirect

When the ‘ad supported’ software is started, it can also alter the web browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument similar “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you launch the internet browser, it will be redirected to an annoying ads.

To clear the web-browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text which starts with “http://” that has been added here. You need to remove it.

When the argument is removed, click the OK button. You need to clean all shortcuts of all your web-browsers, as they may be infected too.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the annoying allwegood.info web-site opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and get rid of all the tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ program.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard simultaneously. This opens a prompt that titled as Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and press OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, as on the image below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your PC system. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need get rid of it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it is a component of the ‘ad-supported’ program, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to remove, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is done, close the Task Scheduler window.

Once the downloading process is finished, close all windows on your computer. Further, run the file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown on the screen below, click the Yes button.

It will show the “Setup wizard” which will allow you install Malwarebytes on the computer. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.

When the install is complete successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main window as shown on the screen below.

Next, click the “Scan Now” button . This will start scanning the whole PC to find out malware and adware that cause the allwegood.info ads. When a threat is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is finished. Please be patient.

When the system scan is finished, you can check all threats detected on your PC system. Make sure all entries have “checkmark” and click “Quarantine Selected” button.
