First, you should try to identify and delete the program that causes the appearance of unwanted ads and web-browser redirect to unwanted web pages, using the ‘Uninstall a program’ which is located in the ‘Control panel’.

Very carefully look around the entire list of installed programs. Most likely, one or more of them are responsible for the web browser redirect to annoying ext.movixhub.com pop-up ads. If you have many programs installed, you can help simplify the search of malicious applications by sort the list by date of installation. Remove ext.movixhub.com pop-up ads from Chrome

Like other modern web browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby remove the redirect to ext.movixhub.com annoying advertisements that is caused by the ad supported software.

At first, launch the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to open the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter.

The internet browser will show the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown in the figure below and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will display the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The program will run the process of cleaning. Once it is finished, the web-browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your PC.

Get rid of ext.movixhub.com ads from Microsoft Internet Explorer

First, start the IE, then press the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will show the Tools drop-down menu as on the image below. Next, click the “Internet Options”.

In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab, then click the Reset button. The IE will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as shown in the figure below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click on “Reset” button.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to delete ext.movixhub.com redirect

When the ad supported software is started, it can also change the web browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument such as “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you start the internet browser, it will be redirected to an annoying advertisements.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the adware can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you open your PC, it will display ext.movixhub.com annoying web site. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all tasks that have been created by unwanted software.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard simultaneously. It will open a prompt that titled with Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, as on the image below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Necessary to look at the text which is written under Details. Found something such as “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it’s a component of the unwanted programs, then this task also should be removed.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ application. Once is complete, close the Task Scheduler window.
