Remove Secure Browser from Mozilla Firefox by resetting browser settings

Remove Secure Browser from Google Chrome

In this step we are going to show you how to reset Google Chrome settings. Potentially unwanted programns and adware software can make changes to your web browser settings, add toolbars and install malicious add-ons. By resetting Chrome settings you will get rid of unwanted ads and reset unwanted changes caused by adware. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed or cleared.

First start the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will display the Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then press Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the add-on signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Chrome menu once again. Further, press the option called “Settings”.

The web-browser will open the settings screen. Another solution to display the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as displayed below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

The Google Chrome will open the confirmation dialog box as shown in the figure below.

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The internet browser will launch the process of cleaning. Once it’s done, the web browser’s settings including search provider, newtab and startpage back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your PC.

Remove Secure Browser adware from Microsoft Internet Explorer

The IE reset is great if your web browser is hijacked or you have unwanted add-ons or toolbars on your internet browser, that installed by a malicious software.

First, open the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will open the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then click the “Internet Options” as displayed on the screen below.

Once the task is complete, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and restart your PC system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web-browser’s new tab page, search engine by default and start page to default state.
