What is Funsearch?

According to cyber security specialists, Funsearch is categorized as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) from the group of Browser hijackers. Typically, browser hijackers make changes to the default homepage and search engine of user internet browsers, making it difficult to change them back. Browser hijackers may also include unwanted pop-ups and advertisements to show up in the affected web-browsers. Browser hijackers are usually installed with freeware or shareware download off from third-party websites; they can also be found inside legitimate web sites and applications.

Uninstall dubious apps using Microsoft Windows Control Panel

In order to delete potentially unwanted applications like this browser hijacker, open the MS Windows Control Panel and click on “Uninstall a program”. Check the list of installed programs. For the ones you do not know, run an Internet search to see if they are adware software, hijacker or PUPs. If yes, uninstall them off. Even if they are just a software which you do not use, then removing them off will increase your PC system start up time and speed dramatically.
