Googlecheck.pro pop up is a browser-based scam that tries to fool people into allowing its push notifications. When you visit the Googlecheck.pro web page which wants to send you browser notification spam, you will be greeted with a prompt that asks whether you want to agree to them or not. Your options will be ‘Block’ and ‘Allow’.

  • Find sites you down’t want to see notifications from (for example, Googlecheck.pro), click on drop-down menu next to each and select ‘Block’.
  • Save changes.
  • Click the More button (it looks like three dots) in the top right hand corner.
  • Click ‘Settings’. Click ‘Advanced’ on the left side of the window.
  • In the ‘Website permissions’ section click ‘Manage permissions’.
  • Click the switch below the Googlecheck.pro site and each questionable domain.

  • Select ‘Internet options’.
  • Click on the ‘Privacy’ tab and select ‘Settings’ in the pop-up blockers section.
  • Select the Googlecheck.pro site and other suspicious URLs below and delete them one by one by clicking the ‘Remove’ button.
  • Click ‘Safari’ button on the top left hand corner and select ‘Preferences’.
  • Select the ‘Websites’ tab and then select ‘Notifications’ section on the left panel.
  • Find the Googlecheck.pro domain and select it, click the ‘Deny’ button.

Remove Googlecheck.pro pop-up ads from Firefox

If the Firefox browser application is hijacked, then resetting its settings can help. The Reset feature is available on all modern version of Mozilla Firefox. A reset can fix many issues by restoring Mozilla Firefox settings like search engine, home page and newtab to their default state. However, your saved bookmarks and passwords will not be lost. This will not affect your history, passwords, bookmarks, and other saved data.

Press the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and click the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as displayed below.

Remove Googlecheck.pro ads from Chrome

Reset Google Chrome settings to remove Googlecheck.pro popups. If you are still experiencing issues with Googlecheck.pro advertisements removal, you need to reset Chrome browser to its default state. This step needs to be performed only if adware software has not been removed by the previous steps.

First launch the Chrome. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The browser will launch the procedure of cleaning. After it is complete, the browser’s settings including default search engine, homepage and newtab page back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Delete Googlecheck.pro ads from IE

If you find that Internet Explorer internet browser settings like startpage, search engine and newtab page had been replaced by adware which cause intrusive Googlecheck.pro popups, then you may revert back your settings, via the reset web-browser procedure.

First, start the Internet Explorer. Next, press the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu, press the “Internet Options” as shown on the image below.

Once downloading is finished, close all apps and windows on your computer. Double-click the install file called Zemana.AntiMalware.Setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown below, click the “Yes” button.
