Remove questionable apps using MS Windows Control Panel

First, go to MS Windows Control Panel and remove dubious programs, all programs you don’t remember installing. Download and use Hitman Pro on your PC system. Once started, click “Next” button . Hitman Pro tool will start scanning the whole personal computer to find out the Trojan.MSIL.Agent and other security threats. A scan can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the count of files on your PC system and the speed of your PC system. When downloading is complete, close all windows on your PC system. Further, run the file called mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as displayed in the figure below, click the “Yes” button.

It will display the “Setup wizard” which will help you install MalwareBytes Anti Malware on the PC. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.

Once setup is complete successfully, click Finish button. Then MalwareBytes Free will automatically start and you can see its main window as displayed in the following example.

Remove Trojan.MSIL.Agent from Internet Explorer

In order to restore all browser settings that have been changed by Trojan.MSIL.Agent you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Microsoft Windows was installed on your PC system.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click Reset button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will show the Reset Internet Explorer settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to reboot your system for the changes to take effect. It will delete virus and other malware and potentially unwanted apps, disable malicious and ad-supported internet browser’s extensions and restore the Internet Explorer’s settings like home page, search provider and new tab page to default state.

Get rid of Trojan.MSIL.Agent virus from Google Chrome

Like other modern internet browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby recover the web-browser settings that have been replaced by the Trojan.MSIL.Agent virus.

  1. First, run the Chrome and click the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
  2. It will display the Chrome main menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions.
  3. You will see the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Google Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, click “Advanced” link, that located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will open the reset settings prompt as on the image above.
  8. Confirm the web browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Remove Trojan.MSIL.Agent from Mozilla Firefox

If the Firefox settings have been replaced by the Trojan.MSIL.Agent virus, then resetting it to the default state can help. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed, deleted or cleared.

First, run the Firefox. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will open the drop-down menu. Next, press the Help button (Firefox help button).

To put it simply, you need to use an ad blocking utility (AdGuard, for example). It will stop and protect you from all unwanted sites, ads and pop-ups. To be able to do that, the ad blocker program uses a list of filters. Each filter is a rule that describes a malicious website, an advertising content, a banner and others. The ad blocking program automatically uses these filters, depending on the web pages you are visiting.
