Carefully browse through the list of installed apps and remove all dubious and unknown apps. We recommend to click ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed applications by date. Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right of the Troubleshooting Information page. Select “Refresh Firefox” in the confirmation prompt. The FF will start a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the Gordon Deals adware. After, it’s finished, click the “Finish” button.

Remove Gordon Deals from Chrome

Run the Reset internet browser tool of the Google Chrome to reset all its settings like home page, newtab page and default search engine to original defaults. This is a very useful utility to use, in the case of web browser redirects to intrusive ad web pages.

  1. First, start the Google Chrome and click the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
  2. It will open the Google Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions.
  3. You will see the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, press the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, press “Advanced” link, which located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will show the reset settings dialog box as shown on the screen above.
  8. Confirm the web browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Get rid of Gordon Deals from IE

In order to restore all web-browser newtab, search engine by default and homepage you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the MS Windows was installed on your system.

First, run the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then press ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will open the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web-browser, then click the “Internet Options” as on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt. When the process is complete, click “Close” button. Close the IE and reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web-browser’s newtab, start page and search engine to default state.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the annoying Gordon Deals ads opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by malicious application.
