Remove “App Of The Day” from Mozilla Firefox by resetting internet browser settings

If the Firefox settings such as search engine, newtab page and homepage have been replaced by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help.

Press the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and click the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as on the image below.
