The Un-stop from Un-stop.net and Un-stop.com is an adware (sometimes called ‘ad-supported’ software) which gets installed onto your computer. It can bring a security risk to your PC system. Remove potentially unwanted software through the MS Windows Control Panel

First, go to MS Windows Control Panel and remove suspicious applications, all programs you do not remember installing.   1. If you are using Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 then click Windows button, next click Search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter.
  2. If you are using Windows XP, Vista, 7, then click “Start” button and click “Control Panel”.
  3. It will show the Windows Control Panel.
  4. Further, press “Uninstall a program” under Programs category.
  5. It will display a list of all software installed on the PC system.

Remove Un-stop from Google Chrome

Reset Chrome settings is a simple way to get rid of the ad supported software, malicious and adware extensions, as well as to recover the internet browser’s new tab page, homepage and search engine by default that have been modified by Un-stop adware that causes a huge count of unwanted popup advertisements.

First start the Chrome. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Chrome menu button).

It will show the Google Chrome menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed plugins. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as shown on the image below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

The Google Chrome will open the confirmation dialog box as displayed below.

You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The browser will start the process of cleaning. When it is finished, the web browser’s settings including newtab page, startpage and search engine by default back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your personal computer.

Remove Un-stop adware from Microsoft Internet Explorer

In order to restore all internet browser newtab, startpage and search engine by default you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the MS Windows was installed on your PC.

First, run the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then press the “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will open the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt. Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown in the figure below.

Once the process is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and restart your system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your internet browser’s new tab page, homepage and search engine by default to default state.

Get rid of Un-stop from Firefox by resetting browser settings

Resetting your Firefox is first troubleshooting step for any issues with your internet browser program, including the redirect to Un-stop web-site.

Click the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and click the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as on the image below.

A small menu will appear, click the “Troubleshooting Information”. On this page, press “Refresh Firefox” button like below.

Scan your computer and remove Un-stop adware with free tools

Once the download is done, close all software and windows on your personal computer. Open a directory in which you saved it. Double-click on the icon that’s called mb3-setup as shown below.

In most cases, the default settings are enough and you do not need to change anything. Each time, when you start your computer, AdGuard will start automatically and stop ads, as well as other harmful or misleading sites. For an overview of all the features of the application, or to change its settings you can simply double-click on the AdGuard icon, that is located on your desktop.

How to prevent Un-stop adware from getting inside your machine

Most often, the free software installation package includes bundled software like this Un-stop adware which reroutes your web browser to unwanted ad web pages.
