The b.partner-wave.men is a ‘ad-supported’ web page.   1. If you are using Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 then press Windows key, click Search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter.

  4. Click “Uninstall a program” under Programs category.
  5. You will see a list of all installed applications.
  6. Scroll through the all list, and delete suspicious and unknown programs. To quickly find the latest installed applications, we recommend sort applications by date.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to get rid of b.partner-wave.men redirect

When the ad-supported software is started, it can also modify the web-browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument similar “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you run the internet browser, it will be rerouted to an unwanted advertisements.

To clear the web browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. When the argument is removed, click the OK button. You need to clean all shortcuts of all your browsers, as they may be infected too.

Remove b.partner-wave.men advertisements from FF

First, start the Firefox. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (FF menu button). It will open the drop-down menu. Next, press the “Help” button (FF help button).

In the Help menu, click the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page, press “Refresh Firefox” button.

Get rid of b.partner-wave.men redirect from Google Chrome

Open the Google Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It opens the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the Reset settings section is visible, as shown on the image below and click the “Reset settings” button.

Confirm your action, press the “Reset” button.

Remove b.partner-wave.men advertisements from IE

First, start the IE, then press Internet Explorer tools menu icon button. Next, press “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, press the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer” settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect. It will restore the IE’s settings such as homepage, new tab page and search engine by default to default state, disable ad-supported browser’s extensions and thereby delete the redirect to b.partner-wave.men annoying page.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the ‘ad supported’ software can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you launch your computer, it will display b.partner-wave.men unwanted web-page. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ program.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time. It will open a dialog box which titled with Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, like below.

Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need get rid of this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

Further press on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown in the figure below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by malicious program. Once is complete, close the Task Scheduler window.
