I cant get hijackthis to begin the download. it goes to a blank page. also I found 2 files similar to mbam-setup.exe but nothing exact. when changing the name the system would not reboot properly. I did a system restore to get the machine to boot windows.

Mike, restart your computer in the Safe mode with networking by doing:

    – Restart your computer
    – After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    – Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    – Select the “Safe mode with networking” option, to run Windows in Safe Mode with networking.

    Follow these instructions again.
