What is Betaengine.org?
Betaengine.org pop-ups are a scam which attempts to fool users into allowing push notifications from malicious (ad) push servers. Push notifications are originally developed to alert users of recently published news. Scammers abuse ‘push notifications’ to avoid antivirus software and adblocker apps by displaying intrusive ads. These ads are displayed in the lower right corner of the screen urges users to play online games, visit suspicious web sites, install web browser addons & so on.
Betaengine.org is a deceptive site that asks you to press on the ‘Allow’ button in order to confirm that you are not a robot, access the content of the web site, enable Flash Player, connect to the Internet, watch a video, and so on. If you click ALLOW, then your internet browser will be configured to show pop-up ads in the lower right corner of your desktop.
