What is Go-mp3.com

Go-mp3.com is a website that is advertised as a site that allows users to convert YouTube videos to MP3 file format. But the security experts warn that using Go-mp3.com and similar sites is quite dangerous. There are several reasons for this. First of all, the use of such websites violates the YouTube rules, which prohibit directly downloading videos. Second, even more important, Go-mp3.com and others like it use rogue ad networks. The security researchers determined that Go-mp3.com and similar sites redirect users to web pages that are not trustworthy, as they are designed to deceive users.

During the research, Go-mp3.com redirected users to gosyncrise.com, infopicked.com, myfood.ltd, t-news3.online, other unwanted and suspicious sites. According to experienced security experts, T-news3.online is a website which uses social engineering methods to mislead unsuspecting users to accept spam notifications via the web-browser. It shows the message ‘Click Allow to’ (access the content of the website, download a file, enable Flash Player, watch a video, connect to the Internet), asking you to subscribe to notifications.

If you click on the ‘Allow’ button, the T-news3.online web page starts sending lots of browser notification spam on your the desktop. You will see the pop-up ads even when you are not using the browser. Push notifications are originally designed to alert the user of newly published content. Cybercriminals abuse ‘push notifications’ to avoid antivirus software and ad blocker applications by showing unwanted advertisements. Remove spam notifications from web browsers

  • Just copy and paste the following text into the address bar of Chrome.

  • Choose ‘Options’ and click on ‘Privacy & Security’ on the left hand side of the screen.
  • Scroll down to ‘Permissions’ and then to ‘Settings’ next to ‘Notifications’.
  • Select the T-news3.online domain from the list and change the status to ‘Block’.
  • Save changes.
  • In the top right corner, click the Edge menu button (it looks like three dots).
  • Click ‘Settings’. Click ‘Advanced’ on the left side of the window.
  • In the ‘Website permissions’ section click ‘Manage permissions’.
  • Click the switch under the T-news3.online so that it turns off.

  • Click the Gear button on the top-right corner of the window.
  • Select ‘Internet options’.
  • Select the ‘Privacy’ tab and click ‘Settings below ‘Pop-up Blocker’ section.
  • Locate the T-news3.online site and click the ‘Remove’ button to remove the domain.
  • Click ‘Safari’ button on the top left corner of the screen and select ‘Preferences’.
  • Select the ‘Websites’ tab and then select ‘Notifications’ section on the left panel.
  • Check for T-news3.online URL, other questionable sites and apply the ‘Deny’ option for each.

Reset Google Chrome
