Open the Google Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal dotes (chrome menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions.

Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guide: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy otherwise, just go to the step below.

Open the Chrome main menu again, click to “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the Reset settings section is visible, as on the image below and press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

Confirm your action, click the “Reset” button.

Get rid of Ads by Cauthron from Firefox by resetting browser settings

If the Mozilla Firefox settings have been modified by the Cauthron adware, then resetting it to the default state can help. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed, deleted or cleared.

First, start the Firefox. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Mozilla Firefox menu button). It will open the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

Confirm your action, click the “Refresh Firefox”.

Remove Cauthron from Internet Explorer

The Internet Explorer reset is great if your browser is hijacked or you have unwanted addo-ons or toolbars on your browser, that installed by an malware.

First, run the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then press ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then press the “Internet Options” as shown below.
