How to manually remove WhiteClick

The following instructions is a step-by-step guide, which will help you manually get rid of WhiteClick ads from the Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Chrome.

Uninstall adware through the Microsoft Windows Control Panel

The process of ad supported software removal is generally the same across all versions of Windows OS from 10 to XP. To start with, it is necessary to check the list of installed applications on your system and uninstall all unused, unknown and questionable applications.

Open Start menu and select the ‘Control Panel’ at right as shown on the image below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed applications and remove all questionable and unknown programs. We recommend to click ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed software by date. Launch the Firefox and click the menu button (it looks like three stacked lines) at the top right of the internet browser screen. Next, click the question-mark icon at the bottom of the drop-down menu. It will show the slide-out menu.

Select the “Troubleshooting information”. If you’re unable to access the Help menu, then type “about:support” in your address bar and press Enter. It bring up the “Troubleshooting Information” page as shown on the image below.

Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right of the Troubleshooting Information page. Select “Refresh Firefox” in the confirmation dialog box. The Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the WhiteClick adware that causes internet browsers to open undesired pop-up ads. When, it’s finished, click the “Finish” button.

Delete WhiteClick from IE

By resetting Internet Explorer web browser you restore your web-browser settings to its default state. This is first when troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by WhiteClick ad supported software that causes a large amount of intrusive pop-up ads.

First, run the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown on the screen below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then press the “Reset” button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box. After the process is done, press “Close” button. Close the Microsoft Internet Explorer and restart your PC system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s search engine by default, new tab and startpage to default state.

Remove WhiteClick from Chrome

If you are getting WhiteClick ads, then you can try to get rid of it by resetting Google Chrome to its original state. It will also clear cookies, content and site data, temporary and cached data. However, your themes, bookmarks, history, passwords, and web form auto-fill information will not be deleted.

Open the Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal dotes (chrome menu button). It will open the drop-down menu. Select More Tools, then press Extensions.

Carefully browse through the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the addon labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guidance: Remove Google Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy otherwise, just go to the step below.

Open the Chrome main menu again, press to “Settings” option.

When the downloading process is complete, close all windows on your system. Further, start the file called mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up like below, click the “Yes” button.
