Remove MyWebFace homepage from Firefox

If the Firefox web browser start page, newtab page and default search provider are changed to MyWebFace and you want to recover the settings back to their original state, then you should follow the few simple steps below. When using the reset feature, your personal information like passwords, bookmarks, browsing history and web form auto-fill data will be saved.

First, launch the Mozilla Firefox and click Mozilla Firefox menu button button. It will show the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Further, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as shown below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter. It will open the “Troubleshooting Information” page as displayed in the figure below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will show the confirmation prompt. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will begin a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the hijacker infection responsible for changing your web-browser settings to MyWebFace. Once, it is complete, click the “Finish” button.

Remove MyWebFace from Chrome

Reset Google Chrome settings to remove MyWebFace. If you are still experiencing issues with MyWebFace, you need to reset Google Chrome browser to its original settings. This step needs to be performed only if hijacker has not been removed by the previous steps.

Open the Chrome main menu again, click to “Settings” option.
