Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to remove Nuesearch virus
A virus can hijack various Windows shortcuts on your desktop (most often, all browsers shortcuts), so in this step you need to check and clean them by removing the argument like http://site.address/.
Open the properties of the browser shortcut. Right click on the shortcut of infected web browser and choose the “Properties” option and it’ll display the properties of the shortcut. Next, select the “Shortcut” tab and have a look at the Target field as shown on the screen below.
Normally, if the last word in the Target field is chrome.exe, iexplore.exe, firefox.exe. Be sure to pay attention to the extension, should be “exe”! All shortcuts that have been altered by browser hijacker virus like Nuesearch usually point to .bat, .cmd or .url files instead of .exe as shown below
Another variant, an address has been added at the end of the line. In this case the Target field looks such as …Application\chrome.exe” http://site.address as shown in the figure below.
In order to fix a shortcut, you need to insert right path to the Target field or remove an address (if it has been added at the end). You can use the following information to fix your shortcuts that have been changed by browser hijacker virus.

Once is done, press OK to save changes. Repeat the step for all internet browsers which are rerouted to the Nuesearch undesired web page.
Get rid of Nuesearch redirect virus from Microsoft Internet Explorer
In order to recover all web browser homepage, newtab and default search provider you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the MS Windows was installed on your PC system.
First, launch the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon . It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the internet browser, then press the “Internet Options” as shown on the image below.
In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt. Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown on the screen below.
When the process is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and restart your computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your internet browser’s start page, newtab and default search provider to default state.
Delete Nuesearch redirect virus from Firefox
Resetting your FF is good initial troubleshooting step for any issues with your internet browser program, including the reroute to Nuesearch web-page.
First, launch the FF. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button ().
In the Help menu click the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page press on “Refresh Firefox” button as shown below.
Confirm your action, click the “Refresh Firefox”.

Once the downloading process is finished, close all programs and windows on your computer. Double-click the set up file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown below, click the “Yes” button.
It will open the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your personal computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.
Once install is complete successfully, click Finish button. Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as on the image below.
Now click the “Scan Now” button for checking your personal computer for the virus which cause a redirect to Nuesearch. This process can take some time, so please be patient. While the tool is checking, you can see how many objects it has identified as being infected by malicious software.
When the system scan is complete, it’ll open a scan report. Review the report and then click “Quarantine Selected” button. When the download is done, open the file location and double-click the AdwCleaner icon. It will run the AdwCleaner utility and you will see a screen as on the image below. If the User Account Control dialog box will ask you want to show the application, click Yes button to continue.
Next, press “Scan” for scanning your personal computer for the Nuesearch virus and other malware and ad supported software.
