How to remove axszd.pro pop-up ads [Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge]

Myantispyware team May 15, 2017     No Comment

The cause of unwanted axszd.pro pop-up ads on your screen is adware (also known as ‘ad-supported’ software). Technically, the adware, that displays a huge number of popup ads or redirects on an annoying web-site, is not a virus. It is is created to make a money. Once started, the adware injects a small code within the content of web sites that you visit. The malicous code may pop-up a new web-browser window with axszd.pro web-site or insert a huge number of advertising links directly into the web sites you’re viewing.

The ad supported software usually affects only the Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge by changing the internet browser’s settings or installing a dangerous extensions (addons). Moreover, possible situations, when any other web-browsers will be affected too. The ad-supported software will perform a scan of the PC system for web browser shortcuts and modify them without your permission. When it infects the web browser shortcuts, it’ll add the argument such as ‘http://site.address’ into Target property. So, each time you run the web-browser, you will see an annoying axszd.pro web page.

While your personal computer is infected with the ad supported software, the Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge may be redirected to axszd.pro unwanted web site. Of course, the ad-supported software may not cause damages to your files or Windows system, but it may show lots of annoying ads. These ads will be injected within the content of web sites that are you opening in your web browser and can be varied: pop-up ads, in-text ads, different sized banners, offers to install an questionable software. The advertisements will appear on all web sites, including web-pages where previously you have never seen any ads. In this case, when you open any web-page, you may see in your web-browser’s status bar the following messages: ‘Waiting for axszd.pro’, ‘Transferring data from axszd.pro’, ‘Looking up axszd.pro’, ‘Read axszd.pro’, ‘Connected to axszd.pro’.

We recommend to remove the ‘ad supported’ software, which redirects your web browser on the axszd.pro annoying web site, as soon as you found this problem, as it can direct you to web-resources which may load other harmful software on your computer.

How can you prevent the axszd.pro pop-up ads

The adware usually gets onto PC system by being attached to another application in the same installation package. The risk of this is especially high for the various free software downloaded from the Web. The developers of the applications are hoping that users will use the quick installation mode, that is simply to click the Next button, without paying attention to the information on the screen and do not carefully considering every step of the setup procedure. Thus, the ‘ad supported’ software can infiltrate your PC without your knowledge. Therefore, it’s very important to read all the information that tells the application during installation, including the ‘Terms of Use’ and ‘Software license’. Use only the Manual, Custom or Advanced installation mode. This mode will help you to disable all optional and unwanted programs and components.
