Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (Windows 7 or Vista) as shown on the image below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed software and remove all applications that has the name similar to the page that has been set as your Chrome, FF, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge newtab page, startpage and search engine by default. We suggest to click ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed software by date. uwhen you have found anything suspicious that may be the hijacker, ad supported software or potentially unwanted applications, then choose this program and press ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window. If the suspicious program blocked from removal, then run Revo Uninstaller Freeware to fully delete it from your personal computer.

Clean up the browsers shortcuts

Now you need to clean up the internet browser shortcuts. Check that the shortcut referring to the right exe-file of the internet browser, and not on any unknown file.

Right click on the web browser’s shortcut, click Properties option. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text “http://site.address” that has been added here. Remove everything after .exe. An example, for Google Chrome you should remove everything after chrome.exe.

To save changes, click OK . You need to clean all web-browser’s shortcuts. So, repeat this step for the Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Get rid of MyStarTab New Tab redirect from Internet Explorer

To restore the start page, newtab page and search provider by default you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your system.

First, run the IE, then press ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then press the “Internet Options” as on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then press the “Reset” button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt. Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as shown on the image below.

Once the process is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your PC system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s start page, new tab page and search provider by default to default state.

First open the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Google Chrome menu button). It will open the main menu. Further, press the option named “Settings”. Another way to show the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter.

The browser will show the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown in the figure below and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will display the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The web-browser will start the task of cleaning. When it’s complete, the web browser’s settings including start page, new tab and default search engine back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your personal computer.

Once downloaded, close all programs and windows on your computer. Open a directory in which you saved it. Double-click on the icon that’s named mbam-setup as on the image below.
