Remove mans-find.org popup ads from Google Chrome

Like other modern internet browsers, the Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby delete the redirect to mans-find.org unwanted ads that is caused by the ad-supported software.

At first, launch the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter.

The browser will display the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown in the figure below and press the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will show the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The program will launch the procedure of cleaning. Once it is finished, the web-browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Remove mans-find.org ads from Internet Explorer

First, run the IE, then press Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon button. Next, click “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will open the “Reset Internet Explorer” settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to reboot your system for the changes to take effect. It will restore the IE’s settings like homepage and search engine by default to default state, disable ad-supported internet browser’s extensions and thereby get rid of the reroute to mans-find.org annoying site.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted mans-find.org web page opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ programs.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard together. This shows a prompt that titled as Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and press OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown in the figure below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be open just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your PC system. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it’s a component of the malicious software, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to remove, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown on the screen below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by malicios program. Once is complete, close the Task Scheduler window.

When downloading is finished, close all applications on your personal computer. Next, open the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown on the image below, press the Yes button.

It will show the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once setup is finished successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown on the image below.

Now click the “Scan Now” button to start checking your system for the adware which cause a redirect to mans-find.org. Once the adware or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is finished. Please be patient.
