When the download is done, open the file location. You will see an icon like below.
Double click the HitmanPro desktop icon. When the tool is started, you will see a screen as shown below.
Further, click “Next” button to perform a system scan with this utility for the Kometa adware and other unwanted applications. A system scan may take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on your PC system. Once HitmanPro has finished scanning your PC system, the results are displayed in the scan report as displayed on the image below.
Review the results once the utility has complete the system scan. If you think an entry should not be quarantined, then uncheck it. Otherwise, simply click “Next” button. It will display a dialog box, click the “Activate free license” button.
Use Malwarebytes to remove Kometa

When the installation starts, you will see the “Setup wizard” which will help you setup Malwarebytes on your computer.
Once installation is finished, you’ll see window as shown in the figure below.
Now click the “Scan Now” button to perform a system scan for the Kometa adware. A system scan can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on your computer. When a malware, ‘ad supported’ software or potentially unwanted software are found, the number of the security threats will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is done.
After finished, MalwareBytes will show a list of all items detected by the scan. Review the scan results and then click “Quarantine Selected” button.
The Malwarebytes will now uninstall Kometa adware and other PUPs. Once that process is finished, you may be prompted to restart your PC.
