First, run the IE, then press button. Next, click “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.
In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, press the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer” settings prompt. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.
You will now need to restart your personal computer for the changes to take effect. It will restore the Microsoft Internet Explorer’s settings like home page, newtab page and search provider by default to default state, disable ad-supported web browser’s extensions and thereby remove the reroute to Chrome_Font.exe annoying page.
Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks
If the unwanted web-site asking to download Chrome_Font.exe opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by malicious program.
Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard simultaneously. This opens a dialog box that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown on the screen below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

When the download is complete, close all windows on your PC system. Further, open the file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown on the image below, click the Yes button.
It will display the “Setup wizard” which will assist you install Malwarebytes on the computer. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
When the installation is finished successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main window as shown on the screen below.
Next, press the “Scan Now” button . This will start scanning the whole personal computer to find out malware and ad supported software which cause the Chrome_Font.exe pop-ups. When a threat is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is finished. Please be patient.
Once the scanning is done, you can check all threats detected on your computer. Make sure all entries have “checkmark” and click “Quarantine Selected” button.

When downloading is complete, open the directory in which you saved it. Double click the AdwCleaner icon. Once this tool is started, you will see a screen like below.
