I can’t use any of my files anymore because they all have a new .CRAB extension. With the help of Google, I determined that my computer is infected with a GandCrab virus. But did not understand the GandCrab of which version encrypted my files, because, different versions of this virus use the same .CRAB extension.

No matter what version of the GandCrab virus infected your computer, you need to do the same thing:
1. remove GandCrab virus
2. restore .crab files using ShadowExplorer or PhotoRec.

Look this manual: Restore .CRAB files – Remove GandCrab2 ransomware virus.
