  • On the top menu select ‘Go’, then ‘Applications’.
  • Drag an unwanted application to the Trash bin.
  • Right-click on the ‘Trash’ and select ‘Empty Trash’.

Get rid of Web Saver from Microsoft Internet Explorer

If you find that Internet Explorer settings such as start page, search engine and newtab page had been replaced by the Web Saver adware, then you may revert back your settings, via the reset web browser procedure.

First, run the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Next, press the button in the form of gear (IE tools menu icon). It will show the Tools drop-down menu, press the “Internet Options” as displayed on the screen below.

In the “Internet Options” window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The IE will open the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as on the image below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then press “Reset” button.

You will now need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

Remove Web Saver from Mozilla Firefox by resetting internet browser settings

This step will help you delete Web Saver and third-party toolbars, disable harmful addons and revert back your default homepage, new tab page and search engine settings.

First, launch the Mozilla Firefox. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Mozilla Firefox menu button). It will open the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

Remove Web Saver adware software from Google Chrome

If you’re getting Web Saver ads, then you can try to get rid of them by resetting Google Chrome to its default state. It will also clear cookies, content and site data, temporary and cached data. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed, deleted or cleared.

First start the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will display the Google Chrome menu. Choose More Tools, then press Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. If the list has the plugin signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guidance: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Google Chrome menu once again. Further, click the option called “Settings”.

The web-browser will show the settings screen. Another method to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as on the image below and press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The web browser will start the process of cleaning. Once it is complete, the internet browser’s settings including default search engine, home page and new tab page back to the values which have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your computer.
