Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (Microsoft Windows 7 or Vista) as shown on the image below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed apps and remove all questionable and unknown applications. We advise to press ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed programs by date. After you have found anything dubious that can be PDFEditor or other PUP (potentially unwanted program), then choose it and click ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window.   3. You will see the list of installed plugins. If the list has the addon labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guidance: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Google Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. You will see the Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and press “Advanced” link.
  6. Scroll down again and click the “Reset” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will display the reset profile settings page as shown on the image above.
  8. Next click the “Reset” button.
  9. Once this task is done, your web browser’s start page, new tab page and default search provider will be restored to their original defaults.

Remove PDFEditor adware from Mozilla Firefox

If the Firefox web-browser program is hijacked, then resetting its settings can help. The Reset feature is available on all modern version of Firefox. A reset can fix many issues by restoring Firefox settings like search provider by default, start page and new tab page to their default values. It will keep your personal information like browsing history, bookmarks, passwords and web form auto-fill data.

First, run the Firefox and click Mozilla Firefox menu button button. It will show the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Further, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as displayed below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the browser adress bar and press Enter. It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page as displayed on the screen below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation dialog box. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the PDFEditor adware. When, it is done, press the “Finish” button.

Delete PDFEditor adware from Internet Explorer

In order to restore all web browser startpage, new tab page and default search engine you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Windows was installed on your PC system.

First, run the Internet Explorer. Next, click the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will open the Tools drop-down menu, press the “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.
