Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as displayed in the figure below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The internet browser will launch the task of cleaning. After it’s finished, the web-browser’s settings including newtab page, startpage and search engine back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your MAC.

Get rid of ResultsPrepender adware software from Firefox

If Firefox settings are hijacked by the adware software, your browser displays intrusive pop-up ads, then ‘Reset Firefox’ could solve these problems. However, your themes, bookmarks, history, passwords, and web form auto-fill information will not be deleted.

First, run the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web-browser. Further, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as on the image below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the browser adress bar and press Enter. It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page as displayed in the following example. In the upper-right corner of this screen, press the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation dialog box. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Mozilla Firefox will start a process to fix your problems that caused by the ResultsPrepender adware. Once, it is complete, click the “Finish” button.

Remove ResultsPrepender adware software from Safari

If you find that Safari web browser settings such as newtab page, homepage and search engine having been replaced by ResultsPrepender , then you may restore your settings, via the reset browser procedure.

Run Safari web-browser. Next, choose Preferences from the Safari menu.

First, click the “Security” icon. Here, choose “Block pop-up windows”. It will stop some types of pop-ups.

Now, click the “Extensions” tab. Look for dubious extensions on left panel, choose it, then press the “Uninstall” button. Most important to delete all questionable extensions from Safari.

Once complete, check your homepage and search provider settings. Click “General” icon. Make sure that the “Homepage” field contains the website you want or is empty.
