Delete MusicTab from Microsoft Internet Explorer

First, start the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Next, click the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu, click the “Internet Options” as on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The IE will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as on the image below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click “Reset” button.

Remove MusicTab from Chrome

The MusicTab as your search engine or home page or other symptom of having hijacker infection in your browser is a good reason to reset Chrome. This is an easy way to recover the Chrome settings and not lose any important information.

  2. It will show the Google Chrome main menu. Select More Tools, then press Extensions.
  3. You’ll see the list of installed plugins. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, press “Advanced” link, that located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will display the reset settings prompt as shown on the screen above.
  8. Confirm the web browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Get rid of MusicTab from Mozilla Firefox by resetting web-browser settings

Resetting Firefox internet browser will reset all the settings to their default state and will remove MusicTab, malicious add-ons and extensions. When using the reset feature, your personal information like passwords, bookmarks, browsing history and web form auto-fill data will be saved.

First, open the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web-browser. Further, click the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as displayed on the screen below.

  3. When the downloading process is finished, please close all apps and open windows on your system. Double-click on the icon that’s called mb3-setup.
  4. This will launch the “Setup wizard” of MalwareBytes Free onto your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.
  5. When the Setup wizard has finished installing, the MalwareBytes Free will run and open the main window.
  6. Further, press the “Scan Now” button for checking your PC system for the hijacker responsible for redirecting your internet browser to MusicTab website. This procedure can take quite a while, so please be patient. While the MalwareBytes AntiMalware is scanning, you may see number of objects it has identified either as being malware.
