Once downloading is finished, close all programs and windows on your PC. Double-click the set up file called Zemana.AntiMalware.Setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown in the figure below, click the “Yes” button.

Now click the “Scan” button to find the Facebook AdBlocker and other kinds of potential threats like malicious software and potentially unwanted software. A scan can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of files on your PC and the speed of your personal computer. Next, click “Next” . HitmanPro utility will begin scanning the whole PC system to find out potentially unwanted program and other malware and potentially unwanted applications. Remove Facebook AdBlocker PUP from Google Chrome

Run the Reset browser utility of the Google Chrome to reset all its settings including startpage, new tab page and default search provider to original defaults. This is a very useful tool to use, if your computer is affected by Facebook AdBlocker PUP.

Open the Google Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal dotes (chrome menu button). It will show the drop-down menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions.

Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Google Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy otherwise, just go to the step below.

Open the Chrome main menu again, press to “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the Reset settings section is visible, as displayed in the figure below and press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

Remove Facebook AdBlocker PUP from Internet Explorer

By resetting Internet Explorer web browser you restore your browser settings to its default state. This is first when troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by the Facebook AdBlocker PUP.

First, open the Internet Explorer. Next, press the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will show the Tools drop-down menu, press the “Internet Options” as displayed in the figure below.

In the “Internet Options” window click on the Advanced tab, then click the Reset button. The IE will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as shown below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click “Reset” button.

Remove Facebook AdBlocker PUP from Mozilla Firefox

If Firefox internet browser settings are affected by the Facebook AdBlocker, then ‘Reset Mozilla Firefox’ could solve this problem. However, your themes, bookmarks, history, passwords, and web form auto-fill information will not be deleted.

Press the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and press the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as on the image below.
