Click Safari menu and choose “Preferences”.

It will open the Safari Preferences window. Next, click the “Extensions” tab. Look for unknown and suspicious extensions on left panel, select it, then press the “Uninstall” button. Most important to remove all unknown plugins from Safari.

Once complete, click “General” tab. Change the “Default Search Engine” to Google.

Get rid of Weknow.ac search from Chrome

Reset Google Chrome settings can help you solve some problems caused by browser hijacker and get rid of Weknow.ac from homepage, newtab and search engine. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The internet browser will launch the procedure of cleaning. Once it’s finished, the internet browser’s settings including newtab, home page and default search engine back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your MAC system.

Resetting Mozilla Firefox web browser will reset all the settings to their original state and will remove Weknow.ac, malicious add-ons and extensions. It will save your personal information like saved passwords, bookmarks, auto-fill data and open tabs.

First, launch the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will open the drop-down menu on the right-part of the browser. Further, click the Help button (Firefox help button) as shown in the following example.
