After the download is finished, close all windows on your personal computer. Further, open the set up file named Zemana.AntiMalware.Setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as on the image below, click the “Yes” button.

Delete AdWare.Win32.Agent.gen from Internet Explorer

In order to restore all internet browser newtab, default search provider and start page you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the MS Windows was installed on your computer.

First, launch the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web-browser, then press the “Internet Options” as shown on the screen below.

Further, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. Next, click the “Reset” button as displayed in the following example.

Once the process is finished, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your internet browser’s homepage, new tab page and default search provider to default state.

Remove AdWare.Win32.Agent.gen virus from Chrome

If your Chrome browser settings are modified by AdWare.Win32.Agent.gen virus, it may be necessary to completely reset your web browser program to its original state.

  4. Now open the Google Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. You will see the Google Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and press “Advanced” link.
  6. Scroll down again and press the “Reset” button.
  7. The Chrome will display the reset profile settings page as shown on the screen above.
  8. Next press the “Reset” button.
  9. Once this process is finished, your web-browser’s homepage, search provider and newtab will be restored to their original defaults.
