Fix hijacked web-browsers shortcuts to delete Get-search.info redirect

Right click to a desktop shortcut for your infected web browser. Select the “Properties” option. It’ll display the Properties window. Necessary to look at the text which is written under Details. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it’s a component of the ‘ad-supported’ program, then this task also should be removed.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by malicious software. Once is done, close the Task Scheduler window.

Remove Get-search.info from Mozilla Firefox by resetting internet browser settings

If the Firefox browser application is hijacked, then resetting its settings can help. The Reset feature is available on all modern version of Mozilla Firefox. A reset can fix many issues by restoring Mozilla Firefox settings like new tab page, default search provider and home page to their default values. When using the reset feature, your personal information such as passwords, bookmarks, browsing history and web form auto-fill data will be saved.

First, start the Firefox. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will show the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

Remove Get-search.info redirect from Google Chrome

Use the Reset browser utility of the Chrome to reset all its settings like search engine by default, start page and newtab to original defaults. This is a very useful utility to use, in the case of web browser redirects to intrusive ad sites such as Get-search.info.

First run the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will open the Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The web browser will start the process of cleaning. After it is done, the web-browser’s settings including search engine, new tab page and home page back to the values which have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Remove Get-search.info redirect from Internet Explorer

In order to restore all web browser search engine by default, homepage and new tab you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Microsoft Windows was installed on your computer.

First, open the Microsoft Internet Explorer, press IE tools menu icon) button. Next, click “Internet Options” as displayed below.
