How to stop New tab ads on Internet Explorer
In order to stop new tab ads and recover web browser home page, new tab page and default search provider you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Microsoft Windows was installed on your personal computer.
First, launch the Internet Explorer, click ) button. Next, click “Internet Options” like below.

- At the download page, click on the Download button. Your web-browser will display the “Save as” dialog box. Please save it onto your Windows desktop.
- When the downloading process is finished, please close all software and open windows on your machine. Double-click on the icon that’s named mb3-setup.
- This will start the “Setup wizard” of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware onto your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.
- When the Setup wizard has finished installing, the MalwareBytes Free will run and show the main window.
- Further, click the “Scan Now” button to start scanning your machine for the adware that causes multiple intrusive new tab advertisements. This procedure can take some time, so please be patient. While the MalwareBytes tool is scanning, you can see how many objects it has identified as being infected by malware.
- After the scanning is complete, MalwareBytes AntiMalware will display a list of all items detected by the scan.
