Remove adware through the Microsoft Windows Control Panel

Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (Windows 7 or Vista) as displayed below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed programs and delete all software which has the name similar to “Tradedoubler.com”. We suggest to click ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed software by date. Once you have found anything suspicious that may be the ad-supported software, adware or potentially unwanted applications, then choose this program and click ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window. Remove Tradedoubler.com ads from Google Chrome

Use the Reset web-browser tool of the Chrome to reset all its settings like home page, newtab page and default search engine to original defaults. This is a very useful utility to use, in the case of browser redirects to undesired ad pages like Tradedoubler.com.

Open the Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Chrome menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click to “Settings” option.

First, run the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Further, click the Help button (Firefox help button) as displayed in the figure below

It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page like below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will show the confirmation prompt. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The FF will start a task to fix your problems that caused by the adware that causes internet browsers to display intrusive Tradedoubler.com popups. After, it is done, click the “Finish” button.

Remove Tradedoubler.com advertisements from Internet Explorer

In order to recover all web browser startpage, newtab page and default search engine you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your computer.

First, open the Internet Explorer, press IE tools menu icon) button. Next, press “Internet Options” as shown on the screen below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, press Reset button. The Internet Explorer will open the Reset Internet Explorer settings prompt. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. It will remove adware that causes multiple intrusive ads and pop ups, disable malicious and ad-supported web-browser’s extensions and restore the Internet Explorer’s settings such as start page, newtab and default search engine to default state.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the ad-supported software can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you start your personal computer, it will display Tradedoubler.com undesired site. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all harmful tasks which have been created by ‘ad-supported’ program.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard together. It will display a prompt that titled with Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as on the image below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, press the Actions tab. Necessary to look at the text which is written under Details. Found something such as “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it’s a component of the ‘ad-supported’ software, then this task also should be removed.

Further click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as displayed on the screen below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

Fix infected internet browsers shortcuts to remove Tradedoubler.com redirect

The adware can hijack various Windows shortcuts on your desktop (most often, all internet browsers shortcuts), so in this step you need to check and clean them by removing the argument like http://site.address/.

Click the right mouse button to a desktop shortcut which you use to start your browser. Next, select the “Properties” option. Important: necessary to click on the desktop shortcut for the internet browser which is rerouted to the Tradedoubler.com or other unwanted web-page.
