How to remove Findizer ads [Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge]

The adware is a type of harmful software that alters your machine’s web browser settings so that you will be randomly redirected to an unwanted ads. Remove suspicious and unknown programs by using Windows Control Panel

Press Windows key windows key, then click Search windows search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter. If you using Windows XP or Windows 7, then press “Start” and select “Control Panel”. It’ll display the Windows Control Panel like below.

Next, click “Uninstall a program” remove applications panel
It’ll display a list of all software. Scroll through the all list and delete any suspicious and unknown applications.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to get rid of Findizer redirects

When the adware is started, it can also alter the web-browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument like “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you start the web browser, it will be redirected to an annoying ads.

To clear the internet browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text which starts with “http://” which has been added here. You need to remove it.

When the argument is removed, click the OK button. You need to clean all shortcuts of all your web-browsers, as they may be infected too.

Get rid of Findizer pop-up ads from Chrome

Reset Chrome settings is a simple way to remove the malicious and ad-supported extensions, as well as to restore the internet browser’s start page and search provider by default that have been modified by adware.

  1. Open the Google Chrome, then click the Menu icon (icon in the form of three horizontal stripes).
  2. It will show the Google Chrome main menu. Click the “Settings” menu.

  5. The Google Chrome will display the reset settings dialog box as shown on the image above.

Get rid of Findizer ads from FF

If the Firefox settings have been replaced by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help you to delete the redirect onto unwanted ad sites.

First, run the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will show the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Next, click the Help button (Firefox help button) as shown on the image below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the browser address bar and press Enter. It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page as on the image below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will show the confirmation prompt, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Mozilla Firefox will start a task to fix your problems that caused by the adware. When it’s finished, click the “Finish” button

Remove Findizer pop-up ads from IE

First, run the Internet Explorer, then click the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will open the Tools drop-down menu as shown on the image below. Next, click the “Internet Options”.

In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab, then click the Reset button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as shown on the screen below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then press on “Reset” button.

You will now need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted ad pages opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by malicious application.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard at the same time. This opens a dialog box that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as on the image below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be open just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your machine. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need get rid of it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it’s a component of the malicious applications, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to remove, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete like below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ program. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

Once the download is finished, close all windows on your computer. Further, open the file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown on the image below, click the Yes button.

It will display the “Setup wizard” that will help you install Malwarebytes on the machine. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.

Once the setup is finished successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main window as shown on the screen below.

Next, click the “Scan Now” button to begin checking your PC for the malware and adware which cause the Findizer advertisements. When a threat is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is complete. Please be patient.

Once the system scan is done, you can check all threats detected on your computer. Make sure all entries have “checkmark” and press “Quarantine Selected” button.

The Malwarebytes will begin removing malware and adware which cause annoying Findizer ads. When the disinfection is finished, you may be prompted to restart your computer. How to block Findizer ads

To increase your security and protect your PC against new annoying ads and malicious web-sites, you need to use an application that blocks access to harmful ads and pages.   2. When downloading is complete, run the downloaded file. You will see the “Setup Wizard” window. Follow the prompts.
  3. When the installation is finished, click “Skip” to close it and use the default settings, or press “Get Started” to see a quick tutorial that will assist you get to know AdGuard better.
  4. In most cases, the default settings are enough and you do not need to change anything. Each time, when you run your system, AdGuard will launch automatically and block advertisements, Findizer ads, as well as other dangerous or misleading sites. Once downloading is complete, open the directory in which you saved it. Double click the AdwCleaner icon. Once this tool is started, you will see a screen such as below.

Now, click the “Scan” button for scanning your PC system for the malicious extensions and the Findizer adware that displays a lot of ads within your web-browser. When it has finished scanning, it will display a scan report as shown below.
