It will show the confirmation dialog box. Further, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The FF will begin a process to fix your problems that caused by the EasyPhotoEdit infection. Once, it is done, click the “Finish” button.

Like other modern internet browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby restore the home page, newtab page and search provider by default that have been changed by the EasyPhotoEdit hijacker infection.

First launch the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Google Chrome menu button). It will open the main menu. Further, press the option named “Settings”. Another way to show the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter.

The web browser will display the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown below and press the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will open the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The browser will start the process of cleaning. Once it is done, the web browser’s settings including home page, newtab page and search provider by default back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your machine.

Remove EasyPhotoEdit homepage from IE

First, start the Internet Explorer, press IE tools menu icon) button. Next, click “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click Reset button. The IE will display the Reset Internet Explorer settings prompt. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to restart your personal computer for the changes to take effect. It will remove EasyPhotoEdit browser hijacker, disable malicious and ad-supported browser’s extensions and restore the Microsoft Internet Explorer’s settings such as homepage, new tab page and search engine by default to default state.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to remove EasyPhotoEdit

When installed, a hijacker infection may add an argument similar “http://site.address” into the Target property of the desktop shortcut for the Firefox, Google Chrome, IE and Microsoft Edge. Due to this, every time you open the internet browser, it will open the unwanted startpage.

Right click on the web browser’s shortcut, click Properties option. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text “http://site.address” that has been added here. Remove everything after .exe. An example, for Google Chrome you should remove everything after chrome.exe.

To save changes, press OK . You need to clean all web browser’s shortcuts. So, repeat this step for the Google Chrome, IE, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
