The ojvodom.info is classified as ‘ad’ site. It can open annoying ads within the Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge or reroute your internet browser on other ads web sites. If you’re seeing this annoying web-page then most probably that your web-browser is infected with adware (also known as ‘ad-supported’ software). As a result of the adware infection, your web-browser will be full of advertisements (pop-ups, banners, in-text links, offers to install an unwanted programs) and your PC system will be slower and slower.

The ad-supported software can change the settings of the Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox and Edge, but often that a dangerous software such as this can also infect all types of browsers by changing their desktop shortcuts. Remove suspicious and unknown software by using Windows Control Panel

Press Windows key windows key, then click Search windows search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter. If you using Windows XP or Windows 7, then click “Start” and select “Control Panel”. It will show the Windows Control Panel as shown on the screen below. windows control panel.jpg

Next, click “Uninstall a program” remove programs panel It will show a list of all applications. Scroll through the all list and delete any suspicious and unknown software.

Now you need to clean up the internet browser shortcuts. Check that the shortcut referring to the right exe-file of the web browser, and not on any unknown file. Right click to a desktop shortcut for your browser. Choose the “Properties” option.

It will show the Properties window. Select the “Shortcut” tab here, after that, look at the “Target” field. The ad-supported software can modify it. If you are seeing something like “…exe http://web.site.address” then you need to remove “http…” and leave only, depending on the web-browser you are using:

  • Google Chrome: chrome.exe
  • Opera: opera.exe
  • Firefox: firefox.exe
  • Internet Explorer: iexplore.exe

Once is complete, press the “OK” button to save the changes. Please repeat this step for web-browser shortcuts that redirects to an annoying web-sites. When you have completed, go to next step.

Remove ojvodom.info pop-ups from Mozilla Firefox

If the Mozilla Firefox settings have been replaced by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help you to get rid of the redirect onto ojvodom.info site.

First, launch the Mozilla Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the browser. Next, click the Help button (FF help button) like below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the internet browser address bar and press Enter. It will show the “Troubleshooting Information” page as shown on the image below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, press the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation prompt, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will start a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the ad-supported software. Once it’s finished, press the “Finish” button

Get rid of ojvodom.info from Google Chrome

Open the Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It opens the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the Reset settings section is visible, like below and click the “Reset settings” button.

Confirm your action, click the “Reset” button.

Remove ojvodom.info pop-up ads from Internet Explorer

To remove the ojvodom.info you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Windows was installed on your PC system.

First, run the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will display the drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and press the “Reset” button. The IE will display the “Reset IE settings” prompt like below. Next, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, click the “Reset” button.

When the task is finished, click “Close” button. Close the IE and reboot your machine for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the annoying ojvodom.info web page opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by adware.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard together. This displays a prompt that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be show just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your personal computer. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it’s a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to get rid of, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete like below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ software. Once is complete, close the Task Scheduler window.

How to delete ojvodom.info pop-ups automatically

Manual removal is not always as effective as you might think. Often, even the most experienced users can not completely delete ojvodom.info redirect from the infected computer. Once the downloading process is complete, close all programs on your personal computer. Next, launch the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown on the image below, press the Yes button.

It will display the “Setup wizard” that will help you install Malwarebytes on your PC. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once install is complete successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown on the screen below.

Now press the “Scan Now” button for checking your computer for the adware that cause a redirect to ojvodom.info. Once the ‘ad-supported’ software or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is complete. Please be patient.
