Have you become that your browser randomly shows p.rfihub.com, instead of the one you want to see? Remove suspicious and unknown software by using Windows Control Panel

We recommend that you start the system cleaning procedure by checking the list of installed applications and remove all unknown or suspicious software. Press Windows key windows key, then click Search windows search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter.

First, press “Start” and select “Control Panel”.

Next, click “Uninstall a program” Uninstall program panel It’ll open a list of all software. Scroll through the all list, and delete any suspicious and unknown applications. To quickly find the latest installed applications, we recommend sort programs by date of installation in the Control panel.

Once the ad supported software is started, it can also alter the web browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument similar “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you run the web-browser, it will be redirected to an annoying advertisements.

To clear the browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. If the Firefox settings have been changed by the ad supported software, then resetting it to the default state can help you to delete the redirect onto p.rfihub.com web-page.

First, run the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will open the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web-browser. Next, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) as shown on the image below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the browser address bar and press Enter. It will show the “Troubleshooting Information” page as shown in the following image. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation dialog box, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The FF will begin a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the adware. Once it’s done, click the “Finish” button

Get rid of p.rfihub.com pop-ups from Chrome

Open the Google Chrome menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It opens the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the Reset settings section is visible, as shown in the following image and press the “Reset settings” button.

Confirm your action, click the “Reset” button.

Remove p.rfihub.com pop-ups from IE

To remove the p.rfihub.com pop-ups you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your PC system.

First, run the IE, then click ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then press the “Internet Options” as shown below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and click the “Reset” button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” prompt as shown on the screen below. Next, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, click the “Reset” button.

When the task is done, press “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the adware can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you run your computer, it will display p.rfihub.com annoying web site. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all tasks that have been created by adware.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard simultaneously. It will display a prompt that titled as Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown in the following image.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, press the Actions tab. Necessary to look at the text which is written under Details. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ software. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.
