Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is designed to quickly detect, destroy, and prevent malware, spyware, trojans. It can detect and remove malware that even the most well-known Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware applications on the market today cannot.

The interface is plain and simple to use. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scan system allows performing a quick scan or a full scan, depending on your needs.

How to use MalwareBytes Anti-malware

  1. Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-malware
  2. Perform a system scan with MalwareBytes Anti-malware
  3. Remove malware with MalwareBytes Anti-malware

Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-malware

Download MalwareBytes Anti-malware from the following link.

Open a catalog where you saved it. By default, all programs are stored in the Downloads, which is in your Documents directory.  You will see an icon similar to the one below.

Close all programs and windows on your computer. Double-click MBSetup icon to run it and you will see a prompt similar to the figure below.

Follow the prompts. Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing click Get Started.

Perform a system scan with MalwareBytes Anti-malware

Once the installation is completed, you will see a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware screen like below.

Now, wait a few minutes. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will try to perform an update process. When database has been updated, click to “Scan” button. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will start scanning your computer.

Remove malware with MalwareBytes Anti-malware

Once the scan is completed, you will see a report like below.

Make sure all entries have “checkmark” and click “Quarantine” button. MalwareBytes Anti-malware will run a removal process. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.

1. I cannot download Malwarebytes Anti-malware.

Probably your computer infected with DNSChanger trojan. Read and follow these instructions: How to remove trojan DNSChanger.

2. Malwarebytes Anti-malware won`t install, run or update.

Read following instructions: Malwarebytes won`t install, run or update – How to fix it

3. Got error code 731 (0,9).

Try restarting the computer, it should solve the error.

    where do i download it can someone send me a link please. all i have done is used hijackthis from the previous page where some called patrik on the first of january 2011 help me please where do i download malwarebytes. and other question when i did what he said to do whith hijackthis my computer look back to normal besides the internet home page.

    ummm i have a slight problem with the downloading. i have downloaded it but when it comes to run it i just remembered that i have my school admin on it but i need that password to run it. i will ask for it tomorrow from my school but do you think that i dont need to download it. because i have windows 7. thanks so far for all your help patrik

    my computer is really jacked up i think its hacked. it wont let me open anything such as microsoft word it only lets me on internet, all the other programs say open file with and it still wont open after that. it wont let me use my antivirus at all………… please help.

    Everytime I click on the icon to start malware it says “the database is not supported by this version of Malwarebytes, please download the latest version”

    I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it again using the link in Patrik’s post but still does not work?

    Any ideas?

    Hey, sorry if this has already been asked but i couldn’t find it. I was infected with the windows recovery Trojan but seem to have removed it with the software above. However, i still can’t access any of my documents even though when i run a malwarebytes.. scan it seems to be looking through my music, pictures, documents etc. Seems to me they can’t have been deleted?

    i was infected with xp anitvirus 2011, i’ve downloaded MalwareBytes & got it to scan as well as remove the infected files but i still get pop ups and my computer still runs a bit slow, any ideas why?

    I’m trying to d/l malware but my anti-virus is blocking, what should I do? I need to know I’m d/l the right thing. I need to get this fake XP ANTIVIRUS off my laptop. It’s driving me nuts. It’s just running in the background.

    this program worked great i found that Spyhunter an enigma software program also works great both got rid of this program my computer has spyhunter and my moms doesnt so i thought i would give this a try worked like a charm

    plz help my home desk top “not this computer” has gotten the “microsoft security essentials alert” virus and it has block all conection to the internet how do i get it to go away so i can download an inti viruis progam
