I need a help and assistance with removing a search box from the new tab page. Here is what I have done so far :
1. Uninstalled all suspicious applications from Windows control panel.
2. Reset browser settings

Once the steps you performed did not help to remove the search box from the new tab page, then try the following:
1. open browser settings, then extensions manager.
2. disable all extensions, absolutely everything, including those you trust completely
3. enabling extensions one by one, find the one that creates a search box on the new tab page and delete it
In addition, I highly recommend checking your computer with the following programs: Malwarebytes and Zemana AntiMalware.
