Answer for Search Window Results Ads hijacks Google and Yahoo search results page

Myantispyware team March 19, 2016

Hi.
Search Window Results Ads is a sign that your parent’s PC is infected with an adware or potentially unwanted program (PUP). This adware is bundled into a free software installers. Authors of free software hide details regarding installation of adware and PUPs within the Custom or Advanced installation section. Probably your parents have skiped this section, thereby allowed to install an unwanted software.

I suggests you use AdwCleaner and  Malwarebytes Anti-malware to remove Search Window Results Ads. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open Control panel, then Uninstall a program console, and uninstall this “free” program, all unused and unknown software.
  2. Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode from http://www.myantispyware.com/download/adwcleaner . Close all open programs. Double click on AdwCleaner. Click Scan When the scan of parent’s cimputer has completed. Click on Clean button.
  3. Download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware from http://www.myantispyware.com/download/malwarebytes-anti-malware . Once downloaded, run mbam-setup to start the installation of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It will open the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Setup Wizard. Follow the prompts. When the installation is done, click to Scan now to perform a system scan. When the scan has completed, click on the Remove Selected button.
  4. Reset browser’s settings.
