What is Mr Beast Giveaway SCAM?
Mr Beast Giveaway is a giveaway scam that is used to extract PayPal account details, steal sensitive information, such as bank account credentials, credit card details, email passwords, social security numbers and personal identification numbers from unsuspecting victims. The scam uses phishing sites disguised as legitimate “Mr Beast Giveaway” pages. It must be emphasized that Jimmy Donaldson (the YouTuber known as MrBeast) is in no way associated with these sites. These sites should be avoided!
Mr Beast Giveaway scams spread via social networking (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter), SMS and email. In addition, such scams can be promoted through deceptive ads, as well as Adware and potentially unwanted applications (PUAs).

Mr Beast Giveaway is a scam that is presented as a 1000$ giveaway to every subscriber (to Mr Beast channel). The scam promises $1000 to anyone who visits “Mr Beast Giveaway” page and clicks on button “CLAIM REWARD”. This redirects the victims to a phishing page that lists the offers that must be completed in order to receive $1000.

At the time of research, the scam came up with a list of two offers that seem to be used by scammers to collect personal data for further scam attempts or other fraud, trick users into signing up for a “free trial” offer that’s actually an expensive subscription to products that users did not agree to buy.
After following the link, scammers redirect users to different scam pages depending on their IP address. During the analysis, our researchers were redirected to www.usarewardsforyou.com when using a US IP address, and to easymoneysurvey.space when using a different IP address. Easymoneysurvey.space is a phishing site that displays a pop-up window that states that visitors have the chance to win a special prize. It encourages them to take part in a survey.
Scammers are trying to get users’ personal information or trick them into paying “shipping and handling” for a non-existent prize. The collected information can be used to make fraudulent purchases and unauthorized transfers, sold to criminals on the dark web, or other malicious purposes. Moreover, the criminals can use stolen email addresses to send spam and malspam (spam emails containing malware or links to malware).

When the downloading process is done, close all windows on your computer. Further, launch the file named MBSetup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up like below, click the “Yes” button.
It will show the Setup wizard which will assist you install MalwareBytes on the computer. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
After the setup is complete successfully, press “Get Started” button. Then MalwareBytes AntiMalware will automatically run and you can see its main window such as the one below.
Next, click the “Scan” button for scanning your computer for malicious software and other security threats. A system scan can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on your computer. While MalwareBytes is scanning, you can see how many objects it has identified as threat.
